Hawaii Snorkeling – An Paradise

Hawaii snorkeling is an enjoyable pastime accessible to nearly every skill of swimmer, in which you can discover a breathtaking array of Hawaii’s most exotic sea life several yards from shore. Colorful coral, lava flows, turtles and more than 700 species of fish are found in the clear, high visibility waters warmed to an average temperature of 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Getting yourself outfitted is no problem, as there are dozens in case not thousands of rental facilities around, ranging in price from $10 20 day, and if you’re staying at a resort you can perhaps score free equipment readily available to their guests.

After you’re outfitted and ready for some Hawaii snorkeling, head out to some of Hawaii’s best snorkeling venues. Probably the most familiar of these is Molokini. The Molokini crater is what is left of an extinct volcano several miles off Maui, shaped like a crescent moon. This is s must-see spot! Other excellent Hawaii snorkeling locations on Maui include things like Honolua Bay, Makena landing and Kapalua Bay. Honolua is viewed by locals as the most effective snorkeling and diving area on Maui, while Kapalua Bay offers calm waters, safe swimming, and among the world’s best beaches. Makena gives exceptional cave snorkeling, and endangered green sea turtles. Other Hawaii snorkeling spots worth getting wet in would be Hawaii’s most famous beach park, a marine preserve; and Waimea Bay, famous for its surfing. The truth is, during winter months snorkeling aren’t permitted because of high surf. On the Big Island there is Kealakekua Bay and Hapuna Beach. If your Hawaii snorkeling plans take you to Kauai, try Ke’e Beach plus Po’ipu Beach Park.

Wherever your Hawaii snorkeling journey takes you in the islands rest assured that there is basically no lousy area to dip the foot of yours in! Be safe though; do not snorkel alone, snorkel in waters which are safe, observe warning signs, and be wary of high surf. And do not feed the fish! They’ve survived centuries without Cheezits; do not get them started now!
